Virginia NORML is pleased to introduce Pamela Novy as its new Executive Director.

Pam brings with her a wealth of experience in leadership, strategic planning and fundraising.  She is a graduate of Old Dominion University and earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Vermont.  She has served in both the Navy and the Air Force, has led combat stress teams in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and has managed Specialized Treatment Programs for combat related Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.  As a clinical psychologist who has provided direct care to patients in substance abuse treatment programs and who has experience managing such programs, she has witnessed first-hand the harm caused by vilifying marijuana in relation to alcohol, a legal drug, and other more harmful illicit drugs, such as heroin, meth and cocaine.  She’s committed to making marijuana policy reform the most talked about political issue in Virginia!
