Roanoke Valley NORML invites everyone out for a float down the James River. Pack a snack, bring a fishing pole. The day is endless. We float, break for lunch, and float again. Bring your fishing pole (license required) and a chair. 

You’re welcome to fish, then meet for lunch at Brink's, if you're not into floating.

There are no refunds for online booking. If booking online please put "Roanoke Valley NORML" in the reservation comments. 

Price: $20 per person (Includes- 2 trips down the river, raft, transportation to the drop off location and life jacket.)  

Shove off time is 10 AM.
Don't be late. Van leaves at 10:15 sharp.
Drop off is Limestone Pool in Buchanan.
1 1/2 hours floating depending on rain levels.

APPROPRIATE RIVER CLOTHING
Please arrive dressed ready to hit the river, typically swim suits, t-shirts, and quick drying shorts.

APPROPRIATE RIVER FOOTWEAR
Old sneakers or sport sandals with ankle straps 
NO FLIP FLOPS OR BARE FEET
You must wear appropriate footwear.

PICNIC LUNCH, SNACKS, DRINKS
Be sure to bring plenty to drink while on the river. 
Make sure to pack non-breakable containers.

Twin River Outfitters does not allow alcohol on their property, leave the cooler in the car! 

You must be able to walk a short distance, on a trail, to the water.
